About Artwork: (not listed) "Owen was a contemporary and rival of Sir Thomas Lawrence. The Heathcote portrait employs an unusual conceit, showing the grandchildren of a wealthy baronet dressed as cottage children. The sheaves of wheat allude to the harvest.
